Email Signature for Dentists

Most of a dental practice's email goes to nervous patients: appointment confirmations, treatment plans, aftercare instructions. The signature should reassure, clear identity, easy contact, zero clutter.

What a dentist's signature should include

  • Your registration number, in the UK, the GDC expects registrants to be identifiable; include "GDC No. 123456".
  • The practice address with parking or transit hint if it fits ("2 min from Central station"), patients genuinely use it.
  • A booking or reschedule link; missed appointments drop measurably when rescheduling is one click.
  • Emergency/out-of-hours contact if your practice offers it.
  • Your qualification letters (BDS, MFDS), patients do check.

What to leave out

  • Before/after photos or whitening promos in the signature of a clinical email, save those for the newsletter.
  • Cartoon tooth clip-art. Your logo or nothing.
