Email Signature for HR Managers
HR email lands in sensitive moments: offers, grievances, parental leave, exits. The signature should be approachable and administratively precise, people need to know exactly who they're talking to and where the official resources live.
What a HR manager's signature should include
- Your remit in the title ("People Partner, Engineering") so employees know you're the right contact.
- A link to the HR portal or handbook, half of HR email volume is questions the portal answers.
- Pronouns, which model the norm for the whole company.
- Working pattern if you're part-time ("Working days: Mon–Wed"), it resets response expectations kindly.
What to leave out
- Confidentiality theatre; if a matter is sensitive, the body of the email handles it.
- Personal social links, the role is the brand here.
