Email Signature for Photographers
Your emails go to prospective clients who have seen fifty photographers' websites this week. The signature is a last, quiet portfolio touchpoint, it should look designed, load instantly, and lead somewhere.
What a photographer's signature should include
- One strong portfolio link with readable link text ("see recent weddings"), not a bare URL.
- Instagram, for photographers it outranks every other social link; skip the rest.
- A small logo or wordmark rather than a photo of yourself, unless you're a portrait brand.
- Your specialism in the title line: "Wedding & Editorial Photographer" filters enquiries better than "Photographer".
- A booking or availability link during peak season.
What to leave out
- Embedding sample photos in the signature, they bloat every email, break in Outlook, and arrive as attachments in some clients. Link out instead.
- Watermarked anything.
